Website help: uploading your work

If you need help uploading your work to the ECCA website then look no further. Below is a guide to getting your work to us. If you have any trouble - or you're using a cutting-edge media then get in touch.

Video

First of all you need to upload your video to an external website such as YouTube. If you're video is longer than 10mins then Google Video is a free alternative.

Once you've uploaded your video to YouTube it will have it's own address on the web. You should copy the link in the URL box on the page. For example, the link to this ECCA Handiwork example is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlBrNfn5Sfs.

Select the "Web-based" option on the upload form and paste the link into the "Link to work" box.

Images and photographs

You can upload images directly to the ECCA website. We will only accept images that are GIFs or JPEGs. The image filesize must also be less than 5Mb.

If the image is too big then you should reduce the size of the image so it's no more than 500 pixels wide.

Interactive work

Select the "Web-based" option on the upload form and enter the web address that links directly to your work. We'll take a screenshot of your work and this will link to the interactive work that will be hosted on your own website.

Audio work

Much like submitting video work, you need to use an external website such as Odeo for your audio file. Odeo provides you with a web address link that looks something like this: http://odeo.com/audio/16376283/view. You should select "Web-based" option on the upload form and paste this web address in.
