Getting seen on the catwalk looks at how to go about launching a fashion range on the catwalk after graduation, including tips on how to apply for a show, different options for showcasing, how to prepare and how to promote it.
Annalisa Dunn graduated from Central Saint Martins, and is now a knit ware fashion designer from partnership Cooperative Designs. She spoke about her catwalk experiences, including advantages and disadvantages of solo and group shows, different options to show your work to potential buyers, what you need to do to prepare for a show, costs to consider and how to make sure you get seen.
John Walford is the director of Vauxhall Fashion Scout and co-founder of Graduate Fashion Week. He talked about the projects they work on, what support they can offer and how to get involved as well as the format of London Fashion Week, the importance of bloggers in terms of promotion and how to get sponsorship.
