Find out how you can take advantage of social networking platforms and online tools to reach out and make a name for yourself. Learn more about the pros and cons of platforms such as Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, and MySpace for creative freelancers, and develop your own strategy to stand out from the crowd.

This event is mainly aimed at visual artists and designers who are interested in promoting their work online.

Katy Beale has spent 6 years at Euro RSCG KLP working on global marketing strategy for brands such as Smirnoff, Guinness, Phillips, Orange and Carling, creating experiential and digital campaigns targeting youth markets. She also worked for Kinetika, an Arts Council RFO, as Communications & Development Manager, securing the London 2012 'Inspire Mark' and successfully gaining the LDA 2012 London Cultural Skills Fund for national projects.

In a freelance capacity, she has worked for the South Bank & Bankside Cultural Quarter on an integrated marketing campaign introducing local families to the museums and attractions along the South Bank, creating an ambassador scheme and a legacy of a social enterprise. Currently, Katy is the Marketing Associate at Tate on the Arts Council funded Cultural Leadership Programme.

She is leading on developing and diversifying youth and families audiences and heads up the social media steering group and various social media platform working groups.

Respected British artist and designer, Kathy Dalwood produces large- and small-scale sculptures through the process of casting in materials such as concrete and plaster.

From major public commissions such as a series of four friezes for St David's in Cardiff earlier this year, to unique and limited edition pieces for boutiques including Mint and Atelier Abigail Ahern, Kathy's work brings together the industrial and the elegant, the antique and the contemporary in beautiful and innovative ways.

She has featured in many magazines, including Elle Decoration, Grand Designs, Homes and Gardens, Period Living, Telegraph magazine, Wallpaper, and World of Interiors.

James Bull

James Bull co-founded Moving Brands in 1998 straight out of Central Saint Martins. He is currently the Executive Creative Director for Moving Brands' London and Tokyo studios. James believes that best results are achieved through co-creation with clients and that there is always a better way of doing things.

James designed the concept and campaign for Keane's award winning 'Hopes and Fears' album and created the identity for newly formed Nokia Siemens Networks, rolling it out globally. More recently, James lead the pitch for 'A Brand for London' which used social media tools to involve the public in the design process.
