About discover design
Discover Design is a brand new competition that takes place during the London Design Festival (LDF). ECCA is asking you to visit the festival - which consists of over 200 projects, events, exhibitions and talks - and design a creative response.
What exactly is a "response"?
In short - whatever you want it to be! We're interested in seeing how you interpret the festival using your creativity. We'll be allowing you to submit video, images, sounds and interactive projects. Basically - if you can represent it online then it's likely that you can submit it.
Where do I start?
We're asking you to consider 5 themes which are essential to all creative businesses:
- USP (unique selling proposition)
- branding
- protecting creative work
- promotion
- sustainability

Which bits of the festival do I go to?
The festival covers a huge variety of creative sectors from illustration to product design to fashion. We're asking you to visit whatever takes your fancy and try to discover the themes hidden in each event. Keep checking back as we'll be posting suggestions for things to visit.
