ECCA asked Claire Hanafin, student at LCC and winner of the June 'Making Money from your Creativity'competition, to produce some images for the website.
Claire says:
Story-telling has played a big role in my work to date. I often use costumes and props in my photographs, and use friends and family members as actors. Selection of the location and choosing what is included in the photograph are very important factors for me.
My inspiration comes from various sources including O. Henry's short stories. I also admire the work of Jeff Wall, and find the photograph After 'Invisible Man' by Ralph Ellison, the Prologue particularly interesting.
