rss feeds

Instead of constantly checking the ECCA website for updates, you can subscribe to our RSS feeds and see when new internet content has been added. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.

To do this you need to subscribe to an RSS document, which is sometimes called a "feed", using a "feed reader". This is a piece of software that checks RSS feeds for new content. To start the subscription you simply enter the RSS feed into the software and it does the rest for you.

To get new podcasts you will need podcast software. You subscribe to the podcast by entering the feed's link into the software, and this will start the subscription process. The software then regularly checks your subscribed feeds for new podcasts, downloading any new episodes that it finds.

As well as feed reader software, there are also several online readers like Google Reader (www.google.co.uk/reader) and Bloglines (www.bloglines.com).
